Burts Bees Head to Toe Set Review

06 February 2013

Last Sunday evening I had a little pamper session and I thought that I would share with you some mini reviews on the products that I used. They were all part of a set from Burt's  Bees which contains their most popular products from Beeswax Lipbalm to Coconut Footcream and everything in between! I love the idea behind Burt's Bees and the fact that all their products are made from natural ingredients just makes me love them even more.

Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream 20g
This gives a really deep clean, great for taking out the dirt from the week. The formula feels incredibly soft on the skin, and I also found that it was not as stripping as some cleansers can be. This cleanser claims to remove makeup as well, but I would recommend that you took your make up off before using this as I don't feel that it would be quite strong enough. I found that this left by skin feeling clean and refreshed, so it would be a great cleanser to use in the morning as well. The scent of this, to me anyway, smells almost like lemon sherbets! I like this smell, but I was expecting something a little more 'herby' smelling because of the name.

 Burt's Bees Hand Salve 8.5g
I am in two-minds about this hand cream. I think I should say, first of all though that I am very fussy about hand creams as I don't like my hands feeling oily. Because this hand cream is so intensive, it does have a tendency to feel greasy on your hands when you put it on. This means that for me, I won't really be using it that much, but if you had dry or rough hands that needed some love, then this would be good for you.

Burt's Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion 25g
This is my favourite product of the lot, without a doubt. I love the scent that this has and the effects that it has on your skin. It smells quite sweet and creamy, however once absorbed, this scent is not overpowering and just makes you smell fresh. This lotion makes your skin feel silky smooth and absorbs really quickly so you aren' t left with a sticky feeling after you put it on. I will definitely be repurchasing the full size bottle of this stuff once mine runs out!

Burt's Bees Fabulously Fresh Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash 50ml
Again, another great smelling product. Initially, I was worried about the rosemary smell because I am not particularly fond of the smell and worried that I would smell like a roast lamb or something! Not the case at all, the rosemary scent is barely detectable, it just smells very pepperminty and fresh. This leaves my skin feeling clean, smooth and refreshed, perfect for mornings when you wake up and need a little boost!

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream 20g
Unfortunately, this one didn't quite do it for me. Again, as with the hand cream, the oiliness of this cream is not to my taste. I think that because these two products are intended for hands and feet that need a lot of help, they have been made incredibly moisturising and this is where the greasiness comes in. I do have to say though, my feet feel incredibly soft the mornings after using this, so it does work, just isn't the nicest thing to apply.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tube 4.25g
What can you say about a classic?! This is the product that I have known and loved for years, before I even knew that the others existed. This gives a tingly feeling to the lips (I love this, it may not be to everyone's taste though!) and soothes the lips. One thing I particularly love about this product is the fact that it actually hydrates the lips rather than just sitting on top of them doing nothing, after the reading the website about this product I found that this is because Besswax seals in moisture.

Overall, this is a great set to use. I would recommend it if you are looking to try some of this range, as you get a lot of products for a good price. This would also be a great gift or just a treat for yourself!

Hope you enjoyed these mini-reviews!
