Monday Manicure #2 Colour Swirl Crackle

05 February 2013

Another Monday, another manicure. I can't believe that a whole other week has gone past! This Monday I have a very bold nail look. I didn't really know what colour to paint my nails so I decided to go for all of them (no, not really, but you have to admit there are lots of colours!). This look was relatively simple to achieve. To start with, paint your nails with a variety of different bright colours in different stripes. Wait for this coat to dry and then cover with a crackle nail polish. I used the Barry M crackle polish for this. Once this coat is dry, you can either leave it for a matte finish or use a top coat for a gloss finish. I love the overall effect of this look because it is so striking, the photos don't really do it any justice, it appears a lot more vivid in proper lighting!

Hope you like it!

  14. What a great idea, I love it! And I am usually a boring person with nails (only really liking plain colours) this one is a look I could give a go though, well done for creating it.

I have just found your blog and within the first page I have seen a nails post, a baking post and an outfit post. That is me hooked then (I love variety), I am now following you, great blog :)

  29. I absolutely love nails like this as they have so much personality! I don't think I'm daring enough to try it myself though, and I usually stick to one plain colour for all my nails. I guess I'm quite boring! This look is gorgeous though!
